Man 8chan literally accepts child porn (and not just art real physical stuff), people who are a banned on 4chan for inciting racial violence (the site has been linked to three different shootings in the last year), and is considered a hive of scum. Your actually advocating for it to remain up?

Don’t pull that with me. Assuming that it actually allows child porn (which I doubt seeing as how that’s super illegal and it’s a fairly prolific site that the FBI would be aware of), that is not what it got shut down for. It got shut down because some bad guys posted on it. Way more bad guys, including at least two of the three I assume you’re talking about, also posted on Facebook and Twitter. 

I don’t give a shit about 8chan. I’m looking for consistency. Either we’re free to say what we want online, regardless of how shitty, or we’re not. If we’re gonna go with the latter then fine. But we should go after Facebook and Twitter too because I promise you, they’ve got an even larger number of racists and killers than 8chan did.

Basically balrog, 8chan got taken down not for the child porn, but because it’s believed to be a host for a lot of right wing nuts. Which, cool, but the left wing nuts are going unabated and facing none of the same repercussions, and YouTube had an actual pedo ring that got brought down but YouTube itself was perfectly fine.

And it’s not illegal to be a right or a left wing nut. Or any other kind of asshole as long as you’re not hurting anyone. If a bunch of new people joined our site, said a bunch of extreme or offensive shit, and then went and shot up a mall or something, that would not be on the rest of us. Our only offense would be keeping the company of assholes, which isn’t illegal either.

Except for the fact the one I was referring to legit told the police he wanted to kill Mexicans, and even your President acknowledged the motivation behind the shooting that happened in Texas was White Supremacy ...

And I already said, the other shooter was a militaristic socialist.

The point though is, these shooters aren’t all racially motivated. America has a mental health issue, not a race issue or a gun issue. Drug use and mental instability is something most of these men have in common.

That goes for criminals and mass shooters in the black community too.

I’m not very interested in the pedophile stuff because it’s irrelevant to my point, and I say that as someone who would be first in line to watch their sorts hang. I’d be all too happy to see any site that intentionally hosts shit like that get banned for it. But that’s not what happened here. 

If 8chan deserves to get brought down because of bad people posting on it, then so does Silicon Valley’s little unholy trinity.

Religion doesn’t have a thing to do with it, racism, religion, politics, it’s an excuse. Bottom line, mentally unstable individuals cling to extremist ideologies. Murderers all have that in common.

As for getting worse, the media focuses on these murders and makes them seem worse than what they are because they have to compete with the internet for viewers. They are dependent on sensationalism to last. Without viewers they have no support from sponsors because the advertisements have no audience.

The killings strangely enough have gone down over the years. And if you look at homicides and who’s doing them it’s actually African Americans and hispanics. Why? Poverty, drug abuse, the rotating door that is the prison system, aka crime school...

But the media doesn’t give a shit about that. All America cares about is white people shooting up public schools and stores.

Minorities shooting minorities is routine business.

Talking about how prescription drugs are easier to get a hold of than guns, and how pharmacies thrive off of people getting hooked onto all sorts of shit is far more complicated than blaming ideologies and inanimate objects.

The drug war is the root of most of our problems in present-day.

When a psycho goes on a killing spree, they don’t look at his manifesto and blame music because he was a metal fan. Well, some people do but not professionals. They recognize it for what it is, a coping mechanism for a broken mind to gain a foothold on the things they’ve been thinking already. But a crazy mind will believe what it will regardless of the existence of religion.

Even Islam, as insane as it is isn’t the true root of the middle east’s problem. Turkey’s been committing genocide well before they had Allah to blame for it.

Most of those lists are the bullshit results of modified and dishonest statistics. We just live in a very interconnected world right now that enables them more and does a poor job of preparing its people to deal with them.

I can agree to disagree on matters of taste, but not something like this. I’ve seen people blame everything from white people to fucking fortnite. People are hungry for something to blame and I’m not giving into it because they’re acting as stupid as the ones pulling the trigger.

Im not upset, I just refuse to blame anything and everything but the killers themselves and those that attributed to their mental state.

So am I. The vaaaast majority of listed mass shootings are not some nutjob shooting up their local Walmart. They’re gang violence, which is a problem, but not the same as the one people tend to think of when they read the term. And it skews the stats.
