They had to release the script for the final episode of GoT so they could submit it for an Emmy. Some of this stuff is even worse seeing their thoughts behind it.

https://m.emmys.com/sites/default/files/collateral/Game of Thrones - Ep 806 - The Iron Throne .pdf

They refer to Dany as "Her Satanic Majesty".

And Drogon melted the Iron Throne by accident. You know, with that concentrated stream of fire directed at one spot for a solid 10-20 seconds. Accident. XD

I get 404 when I click the link but I believe you.

I couldn't even write something so bad even if I tried. Maybe if I tried to write a Monty Python-esqe comedy. And if the final season had been six episodes of GoT flavored Monty Python episodes I think it would actually have been better.

Would have been better as this instead.

They must have taken it down because it was so embarrassing. I read a little of it yesterday, just had to shake my head.

How much of a fathead must you be to pick THIS to submit for an Emmy?

I work for a contract manufacturer, we make all the big energy drinks. About 50% of the US energy drink market comes from our company.

I don't directly deal with Monster, mostly. I do fill in for the Monster planner sometimes.

That sounds like a pretty cool job. Does your workplace look like this XD

Sure, it's a regular Willy Wonka plant. XD

It's stressful. Don't work in manufacturing, boys and girls.

I don’t know. The last episode was full of genuine attempts at humor and it was awful.

I don't remember any such attempts. I just remember the whole episode being one dreary slog in an attempt at drama.

Though if the script is much like the two examples you gave I figure it wouldn't take much effort in to edit it to make it into a parody version of the episode.

Edmure nominating himself to be king and Sam suggesting democracy were played for laughs. And so was most of the small council meeting.

Completely forgot about that. Guess the episode is so bad my brain is doing its best to purge it from memory.

People copy Dank Soft in all the wrong ways, when they should be removing any kind of difficulty option (Have it set to expert and balance the game around that entirely) and have a system that actually respects players intelligence.  But whenever I hear Dank Souls cited it's always, it's something stupid.

I think there's a big problem in that by the fact that the actual combat moves in Skyrim is very limited. It'd be like if you took away dodge and limited all weapon moves to a simple strike in Dark Souls, on top of making the controls clunkier.

I'm talking less about gameplay, and more of gameplay design.

Re balancing the difficulty wouldn't have any  effect on the game playing anything like Souls. Just that you could no longer cheat the system (lowering it to get by a hard boss)  or how I think one difficulty setting, one that aims to be challenging, instead of more casual/easy is the better design decision.  Of course a TES game should always play like a TES game, i'm just saying they could use some of the design styles that Dark Souls used that would benefit them, even in the TES style.

Those would be arbitrary changes for a game that wouldn’t benefit from them, in Skyrim anyway.

I change the difficulty on that game for immersion mainly and even with mods, it needs that desperately

Because the initial difficulties are too easy, right?

The problem with Skyrim's difficulty is that it only changes damage and health. Which create damage sponges that can kill you in only a couple of hits at higher difficulties. And with no way to dodge or parry it becomes a game about outputting more and bigger damage numbers than your enemies.

I like playing stealthy in Skyrim because it's really the only mode I feel that has any real challenge in terms of skill as it allowed me to hide and observe. Even if the stealth was really limited it was still better than doing my best to hit the opponents harder than they hit me while maybe chugging some health potions.
