This is some of the coolest foreshadowing in TES, imo. This book first appeared in Morrowind. Consider the topic and when it appears to have been written.

The thing I’m referencing is that the book appears to have been written in the 4th era, and that it mentions the fall of the Septim dynasty, but it first appeared in Morrowind, years before that happened.

The subject of the book is that Dragon Breaks are fake and that it’s all just timeline errors. I’m pretty sure that this was Bethesda being funny and clever. They added a book that tells us the breaks are a lie and that time hasn’t been manipulated, but that book appears to be from the future, proving itself wrong.

I wonder how commonly known this was in the community back before Oblivion came out. I’m pretty sure that if something like this existed in Skyrim, some book that blatantly is from the future and mentions some crazy historic events that haven’t happened yet, we’d be all over it.
