Stephen King hasn't been scary since Salem's Lot. That book scared the crap out of me, though.

Honestly Stephen Kings it was the only book he wrote that i found consistently horrifying. The rest only had moments here and there that were to me, and usually it was it’s otherworldly elements. 

Like the guys that dragged Ted away in hearts of Atlanta, the thing in the closet in Cujo, stuff like that.

Under the Dome’s one of my favorites of his. Along with hearts of Atlanta and Green Mile.
