So...i've never seen a more disjointed, and poorly paced movie before. Like fucking christ...at the same time, I was holding back cackling at certain points during the film (from you know who.) I'll post more detailed impressions later, but whatever I may think of the movie, Ian Mcdiarmid (Sheev) is a fucking treasure, and he did an AMAZING job. As well as

I love how Hayden as Anakin has simultaneously managed to become one of the most mocked parts of the prequels and the most beloved. 

It’s like... overall he wasn’t good. He gave a lot of really cheesy deliveries of some really badly written lines. Yet that guy is 100% Anakin Skywalker and anyone else would feel wrong at this point.

The scene was a mix of cheese and kino 

 

You hear Obi Wan telling Rey she needs to get up, then my boi Haydeen's like "You will restore balance as I did, rise Rey!" And then I hear fucking Samurel L Jackson screaming "Courage is the Jedi's strength, do not give up!"  And then Mister "What about the Wookie's?" is like "Come on fight!" And then all these other Jedi voices including Qui Gon show up, telling Rey to get off her ass and fight back. 

 
It was pure fanservice but of the good kind.

Anakin being a cheesy loveable goofball reminds me so much of Baldur  

Some niggas are cheesy, he was cheesy as Vader too lol which I think Doc pointed out before. I love that this carried on to Anakin proper. I like to think it was intentional.

I just realized what a power move the ending of Empire Strikes Back was. Chad Vader straight up cut off Virgin Luke’s hand, bragged about fucking his mom, and then made him jump into a bottomless pit. What a boss.
