Hideo on the political spectrum, would probably be a crazy anarchist lol. Or at the very least left leaning Libertarian. He glories Sacco and Vanzetti, portrays government officials, whether there Capitalist or Communist as corrupt animals, conspiracies as usually "right and true". I think he's anti-government and very anti nuclear weapons. 

Some call him Anti-American (Ground Zeroes was one massive jab at Guantanamo Bay) but all the protagonists are (semish) Loyal American Special Forces soldiers. he put's George Washington on a massive pedestal, and they spend hours talking about how great American culture is. 

Politics are way different in Japan though. There isn't really a left or right in our sense.
