If the Greater Will is an otherworldly singularity, that makes it's relation to the Flames of Frenzy all the more interesting.
Two primordial forces of the beginning of the universe.

And Ymir's headpiece description of the Greater Will residing in a lightless void (a black hole) ties them all together

Remember what any of those are? That is news to me.
From memory it's the black hole spell that sucks in magic, and the description of the black moon talisman.

I love all the mentions of archeology (including Messmers Knights risking their lives to protect the place because of how value it has as a discovery). I love all the obscure pre-historic civilisations. And how Rauh is described as belonging to a group of people even the Hornsent don't remember.
Fromsoft loves adding ancient civilizations that are long since gone.
There's like three in base Elden Ring.
Tarnished Archeologist loves going over them

Agreed. As I’m sure was the case with many players, my first experience with Rauh was by entering the portal right past the Shadow Keep and teleporting to that arena with the Bird Warrior. I was blown away by the sudden change of scenery, and it got me excited for when I’d finally get to revisit it properly.
I didn't actually find that portal on my first playthrough!
I got to experience it as a complete surprise.

Or a black hole is the closest observable takeaway that a "mortal" can achieve by attempting a connection.
It's really fascinating to me that the strange Black Hole deity hinted at from certain spells and items with the Nox ended up being the Greater Will.

Unrelated, but Rauh reminds me of what I wish Cyrodiil had been. That’s a proper Ayleid ruin.
Rauh was such a breath of fresh air in the dlc when I came across it for the first time. So much of my time was spent in the similar biomes of the Scadutree plateau and lowlands. Once I saw the lush jungle ruins, I fell in love with the greenery

The Nox having to look down from their majestic underground cities and seeing the dirty ass Ancestral Followers chanting and being primitive is hilarious to me.

What are y'all's thoughts that the Greater Will seems to either reside in a Black Hole or IS a Black Hole?

I think they predate the Numen coming to the Lands Between, the five finger symbology of the Beastmen comes across as utterly ancient.
You know, knowing what we do now. I think the Numen coming from a different world should be taken literally now. I think they weren't native to the realm of existence that the Lands Between and other countries.
The Numen stone coffins are so otherworldly but of a human familiarity. I think they were the vessels of travel across the stars.

Or look at poor Rya's nightmarish origins. Perhaps Rykard based his creation of his "children" on Numen practices?
Rykard had the Sneeple with Daedicar (am I spelling that right?)

But where did those beatsmen come from, eh?
Lots of Numens out there, just saying.

Knowing what we do now about Numens merging seamlessly with others, I’m starting to worry that the origins of these "Shadows" is some really depraved shit. Remember, Maliketh is supposedly Marika’s half brother.
I didn't think of that. But there's also the existence of Farum Azula and Beastmen. I figure Blaidd and Maliketh are just of those races of animals given sentience

Even Vagram the Raging Wolf dude is a furry, he wanted to be like Blaidd

I feel like many problems would be solved if furries had to earn their lot by killing, skinning, and wearing the beasts they wish to identify as.
That's practically what the ultra rare Victorian age wealthy furries did

He's the Land Between's equivalent of a FUCKING furry. That's realllyyyy bad PR

Radahn: Like... symbolically? Akin to how I modelled my own battlefield kit on the Beast Regent?
Red Bear: I WANNA BE A FUCKING BEAR, I WANT TO CONSUME HONEY AND FISH!
Radahn: You're demoted.

There’s "most trusted warriors" and there’s "most trusted bros".
Jerren’s a bro. Ain’t no topping that.
I'm with Doc in this. Freja would be like amidst Robb's most trusted retainers. While Jerran is his Bannerman bro.

That and this dude pops up to assist the Lands Between armies
Skull Knight could solo all the non-Godhand and Zodd apostles. That's totally unfair adding him to the mix
2 minutes ago, The Good Doctor said:How would the Ashina hold up against invading Redmanes?
Hmm, that's an interesting question. Technology wise the Interior Ministry actually had an edge in invading Ashina with their more modern firearms and canons, something the Redmanes wouldn't have.
But Redmanes also have gravity magic and plate armor, and though it's not the late Renaissance/early modern siege plate that one Portuguese man had, I think that'd also give an edge.
Hard to say in the end, especially if...late game stuff happens in the midst.

I suspect that Jerren is the better source on Radahn, personally.
Jerran I feel isn't a true Redmane. He was a guest of the Carians and best friend to Radahn, but he also abandons Caelid once Radahn meets a good death. Rather than remain with the Redmanes to protect the Lands Between from the Rot.

She's a pretty chill person...until she's talking about how hard she is about turning Radahn into an Immortal Zombie God of War, and it suits him to kill for all eternity Like shit, that woman has problems.
That's what happens when you invite a former gladiator of Godfrey's arenas into your personal guard.
She's what a lot of fans think Radahn was like. "WAR WAR WAR DEATH BLOOD KICKASS WAR"

Fine Redmanes team up with Cleanrots. Radahn and Malenia take the field and lead the attack
If you also add the Haligtree Knights, who are legitimately the most powerful knights in the Land Between then I think Malenia and Radahn would have a solid chance.
If you're also including Griffith and the Falconia armies too.

And that the Nox were known for night sorceries, lightless spells now seem a lot closer to the fundamental nature of the Greater Will.
