  1. And that's why I dislike it. No other boss has you attacked from more than one direction before you can even get a decent look at what you're fighting.
  2. I was just at low health when that attack hit me. I thought I had time to run across the room to hide behind another pillar when Ornstein got stuck.
  3. Well it was the one of the few fights that I didn't pretty much beat first try this time around. The other being the Capra Demon, and fuck that guy and his dogs.
  4. Fighting Ornstein and Smough again made me realize why they never really did such a combo again. The problem is that Smough's fat ass can easily obscure several attacks from Ornstein. All bosses in DS3 with multiple opponents always have them being of roughly the same size so neither can obscure the other.
  5. Also Caesar has a certain fondness of crucifying people. He'd only work as a person of transition. If anything I'd prefer to have some form of Augustus. I feel it could have been interesting if we could have spoken with someone like Lee Oliver or a NCR senator to get a feel for the NCR. Could have made for an interesting juxtaposition to Caesar. We don't really get to see how rotten the top is in the NCR because we never really get to interact with it.
  6. Oddly enough publicly funded healthcare incentivizes the state to instituting regulations and programs for keeping people healthy. Because the state got to pay for when people's health fail. Truth be told the only thing I like about Caesar is his talk about greater good where people look to improving the whole rather people only looking out for themselves. Plus he is strongly opposed to corruption. Which I tend to notice more and more in our world.
  7. I can see you thinking that for the USA. Our only real rival is Russia and Sweden is way too small to take them on. So Caesar would have to settle for dealing with domestic matters. Such as the rise of crime gangs. I feel Radovid would mostly lash out in paranoia at whomever he considers a threat at the moment.
  8. There should be a "Retract vote" button. I remember we had such a feature back in the old Beth forums.
  9. If it's for my country (although we don't have a president, only prime minister) I'd like to change my vote to Caesar. This country could use some discipline.
  10. I am tempted to vote for Caesar because out of the four he actually has ideas for a better future. Though the risk of his plans getting me crucified makes me pick Palpatine instead. At least you can much continue like normal under his rule with minimal risk.
  11. Capra Demon was bad. But the worst has to be the Scaleless Dragon. I still remember having to run across a large field and then down a huge pit where several bridges were invisible unless you went slowly and payed enough attention to the particle effects.
  12. Right... At least FromSoft realized the pointless waste of having long treks to bosses. Otherwise they wouldn't have shortened them so much in their subsequent games.
  13. I don't think anyone cares about souls when you're focusing solely on taking down a boss. I actively get rid of as many souls as possible before going up against a boss. At that point I just want to get back and try again. Having to go over what is essentially a long speed bump on the way is just irritating padding.
  14. Not really. The boss is reset and wont become any easier or harder just because you get to it faster or slower. The trek just makes the act of getting to try again become trite.
  15. I prefer gameplay that is challenging rather than punishing. Having to go through what is essentially arbitrary wait times to get back to what you failed at isn't fun.
  16. While there were some silly placements in DS3, I'll still take an overabundance of bonfires to having to spend several minutes getting back to a boss.
  17. Decided to replay Dark Souls 1 and try to get Kaathe. As I'm playing I remember why I put the game down a few times: I really hate the trek back to the bosses.
  18. Tried to look it up to verify and apparently it was just an urban myth. Ah well. It was a little bit funny hearing as a kid though. Us Swedes and Norwegians like to joke about each other quite a lot. Life of Brian was banned though for being deemed offensive to religious people.
  19. Donald Duck was forbidden in Norway because he didn't wear pants and that went against some kind of decency laws Norway had at the time. I think they also forbade Monty Python's Life of Brian around the same time.
  20. I beat it twice. Once of survival and once on hardcore. Took a few attempts n hardcore. Also pretty sure enemies get more aggressive on hardcore as those snakes in the pink mushroom cave barely attacked on survival whereas they loved shewing on me in hardcore. Oddly enough I found the deepest caves of Subnautica to be the least scary. There's pretty much only two ways the enemies could come at you: from ahead or from behind. Also they're somewhat well lit compared the open deep sea. Especially the deep sea at night.
  21. I always tried to hug the sea floor. Just so I wouldn't have to worry about something coming up from beneath me. The worst part was going to that floating island because I had to go through a large body of open water.
  22. I've also had that game's plot spoiled for me as well. At this point I might as well just pick a horror game and play it for the jump scares.
