  1. Well, it’s official. For the first time since 2012 I have uninstalled Skyrim from my computer with no intention of reinstalling it for a long long while atleast. This latest “let’s break all the mods” has really pushed me over the edge and I’m over it
  2. So I just had any idea for a Fallout 4 mod list. Instead of my typical fully lore accurate build, I want to do a “modern apocalypse” build. I’m talking everything from weapons, to clothes, to the burnt out cars and drugs. I want everything to look like the bombs went off in our timeline. What do yall think?
  3. I love Starfield what can I say, I completely understand where Celan is coming from 100% tho and I can see how people don’t like it. I do however think it literally comes down to us just being different gamers with different tastes. I really only enjoy Beth-style games nowadays. Y’all have moved on, but I have been stuck since 2012 when I first picked up Skyrim. It literally popped my cherry into a new world so I have a fondness for the clunky ass mess lol. But I also hate turn based combat and I can’t fucking stand isometric gameplay.
  4. I’m officially 25 today!! This is the first birthday since 21 that I’ll be celebrating lol and my wife has this whole secret plan of what we are doing and I’m nervous lmao but it should be fun
  5. “Once brought up” bruh that was like a month ago acting like it was way back in the misty times of yore
  6. My bad for being relatively absent for the last month or so lol. Had some pretty big life moments that I’ve been going through. A short synopsis of events, my wife had her third miscarriage of the year, we went through the fertility clinic and discovered she has a heart shaped uterus. We decided that mentally, financially, and physically we are done having kids. I scheduled my vasectomy. Then we decided to try a threesome which has blossomed into a full on open relationship. I finally, after four years, came out to her that I’m Bi and she had the audacity to say “I figured” lol. She’s been amazing (as always) and extremely supportive about the whole thing and I couldn’t be happier. We did have a very very low point that we got through because my insecurities got the better of me but after a long emotional discussion we got through it and now our relationship and communication is even stronger. And yeah, that’s been the Centurion quarterly update of life lol.
  7. I hope Bethesda drastically improves and learns from the lessons of Starfield, because with Starfield it’s very apparent that they actually listened and learned from the criticisms of F4 and F76. I get it that the rest of y’all aren’t on board with Beth anymore, but for me Beth games are the only ones I enjoy. I’m not a Beth fanboy by any means, but no other developers are making the games I like to play. Like Cyberpunk is great but I can’t bring myself to replay it because I know that it’s gonna be 1. Different 5 minute intro 2. Jackie quest 3. Become nightcity legend. Like there’s not much variation and such. I’m hoping I really like Obsidians 1st person fantasy game, but I’m skeptical because the Outer Worlds was such a drag for me. Lucas arts and EA obviously don’t make Star Wars games the way I like. I literally only have Bethesda
  8. Couldn’t care less that Pete Hines is gone. Fuck that guy, but Will Shen LEFT BETHESDA. THE GUY WHO LEAD FAR HARBOR (you know the only good thing about F4) AND ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT DUDES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF STARFIELD… FUCKKKKKK
  9. So interesting thing a bout Starfield. When you enter a star system and I’ll use ours, the Sol System (Which is actually the proper name for our solar system because the “sun” is actually named Sol), for easier understanding, basically that star system is it’s own cell/overworld like the wildness of Skyrim between cities. Think of the plants as whiterun and Riften and shit and space as all the land in between. Another cool thing about it is the planets are actually orbiting in real time. You can sublight travel to the planets if you want to waste hours of time to do so. But one thing is and the whole reason I’m bringing this up, is someone crudely modded a way to travel between planets without the fast travel option so you can fly there. Essentially you press a button and a console command fires that makes your ship move like x500 speed and you can legitimately fly from one planet to another real time and then when your down you press the button again and it fires another console command to reset your speed. Soooo once the Creation Kit 2.0 comes out I can definitely see real time space travel being one of the first “big” mods to come out
  10. The timing really was off for Starfield. Getting released between BG3 and Cyberpunk 2.0+PL really didn’t help it’s player base or reception lol. I can also sympathize with the setting not really pulling you in because I wasn’t sure about the setting either before I started playing. The reason I picked it up immediately is because BG3 doesn’t interest me, and I burnt myself out on Cyberpunk last year lol, so Starfield was really the only thing for me this quarter. And I’m so fucking glad I like it. I’ll just continue to contain my excitement until y’all eventually pick it up lol. I’ll be the long grey-bearded lore master for y’all to spit questions at in a couple months lmao
  11. I fully understand lol. Also whoever you’ve been listening to that says the “true game” starts there is dumb and a casual. Starfield is definitely at its best when you take your time and enjoy what you are doing. New game plus is handled very well and it’s fun, but don’t go rushing to finish. Take your time, enjoy the game
  12. Time for me to gush over Starfield while none of y’all care lmao. I’m at 130 hours and I’m still in love with the game. I actually like it more than I did in the first 100 hours, now that I have a more solid grasp on the mechanics and systems. I’m very very happy with what Bethesda did with the game and I’m excited for the dlc and the modding tools to come out. Obviously it’s not perfect and there are issues and things I don’t like, but I still really fucking like this game. And it sucks that I have no one to talk to about it lmao, cause I don’t what to spoil the stories
  13. Ok boys, I’m at 113 hours in Starfield. I’ve finished the Main Quest and all the factions. I’ve delved thoroughly into the ship customization and gotten a rudimentary lesson in outpost construction. I have 26/50 achievements. There’s good things and they’re bad things. I’ll cover everything I can spoiler free here, but I will also be including a spoiler tag where nothing is held back. Don’t look in the spoiler tag if you don’t want to know. 1. Factions. The factions are genuinely interesting and well crafted. I’ll go a head and list them with a brief spoiler free description of want to expect: Constellation- the main quest guys. You finish the tutorial and introductory mission then that’s all you have to do with them if you don’t want to continue down their path. The United Colonies Vanguard- The UC is hiring, pilots to be specific for a variety of tasks from delivery operations to combat operations. There’s two paths the Vanguard puts you on, the main Vanguard quests and a referral to stop in with Sysdef. United Colonies System Defense (Sysdef)- this is a really fun undercover operation type questline with multiple ways to start and resolve, plus a hell of a reward at the end. I enjoyed literally ever second of it. You begin Sysdef’s missions by either referral from the Vanguard, or by getting arrested in UC space. The Crimson Fleet- Yo Ho, All Hands, Hoist the Colors High, Heave Ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die! You get access to the space pirates by either cooperating with a certain faction, or by telling that faction to fuck off. Being a pirate in this game is fun and quests are engaging Freestar Rangers- satisfies all you Space Cowboy lawman needs. Literally an old western sheriff questline if the far future with space travel. It’s fun, it’s interesting, you get to flash your badge and it’s all around a good time Ryujin Industries- personally, cooperate intrigue isn’t my cup of tea. This faction and quest line isn’t really for me. However, someone interested in stealth, wealth, and a more thieves guildy type playthrough will eat this up. It feels like the corpo background in Cyberpunk, only you get to actually do Corpo operative stuff. The great thing about the factions in this game is that at the end of each quest line, you don’t become the leader. Hell you don’t even become a super high ranking member. It’d be like the BoS in F4 being like “Thanks for taking down the institute Knight, now resume you duties because you only joined us a week ago” and I think it’s great. 2. The Cities. The cities are the best cities Bethesda has produced. Are they sprawling massive thing like Night City? No, but they are Whiterun either. New Atlantis is beautiful, Akila City is cozy, Cydonia is oppressive, Neon is dingy, New Homestead is stuck in the glory days and I still haven’t been to Gugarin lmao. But for what we do have it’s great. 3. Shipbuilding- obviously you guys know that I have been sucked into ship building. It’s a fun system and I really enjoy it. Getting to create, edit, design, and upgrade my own fighters, bounty hunter ships, battle cruisers, and really anything else is great for my creative need to make things. At first it seems overwhelming, but once you get into it, it’s easy and fun. 4. Outposts. Improved settlement system systems, however is been drawn back a bit. There’s an option top down view so you don’t have to build in first person which is great. You aren’t building individual walls anymore, you are snapping prefab building together and placing mineral drills about. 5. There’s a lot of fast traveling in this game. You can’t travel from Alpha Centauri to Sol like you could walk from whiterun to river wood, but you can take the carriage instead of teleporting with the map is you understand what I’m saying. 6. Space dogfights, zero g combat, and low g combat are all super fun additions to Bethesda’s typical combat loop. Boost packs are awesome and allow me to fulfill my dreams of being a mandalorian swooping in with a jet pack and mowing down enemies. Also in zero g, the recoil of you’re weapon will push up making it another thing to keep in mind lol. 7. The crafting system went down a level in my opinion. The fact that you can adjust the damage the weapon does from regular to advanced like in fallout 4 sucks in my opinion and you also can’t remove a red dot from x-rifle and put it on y-rifle and that sucks 8. Radiant quests are in the game, however interaction with them are entirely a choice. You get these through “mission boards” and it’s a great way to rack up xp or money. 9. The persuasion in this game is the best Bethesda has created. You get a limited number of chances to succeed, you have options that have different likelihoods to succeed, you’re background can be used, you’re skills can be used, or knowledge about the character can assist you in picking the right options. I’ve had a lot of fun with persuasion. 10. In normal conversation you background, affiliations, skills, and traits come up all the time. Your companions can but in or even answer for you, you have options. It’s all around good. Overall I give Starfield an 8.5/10. Is it a good game, yes. Is it the best there ever was, no. Will I play it for years to come? Yes. Would I write for it? Yes. Would I buy merch, yes. Overall it’s better than both Fallout 4 and Skyrim. It feels like mix between Morrowind, Fallout New Vegas, and Fallout 3. I’m happy with Starfield and I think y’all will enjoy it as well. TIME FOR SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS
  14. It’s loosely inspired by a vague mental imagine of the harrower class dreadnaught from SWTOR
  15. It took me 7 1/2 hours to build, refine, and finalize the design. I had to reorganize the habs and shit like 10 times to get the ladders in the correct places, because Bethesda doesn’t let you determine where doors and ladders appear but you can sorta learn how the system does it after a while. But anyway, starting at the bottom we have the landing bay which leads into the cargo bay. level 2 we have the armory that leads into the engineering bays. On the left side of the engineering deck we have the docker, on the right we have the workshop. level 3 we have the control station responsible for monitoring the reactor, grav drive, and engines and reporting any issues to either the engineering deck or the bridge as the situation dictates. We also have the infirmary on this level. level 4. We have the mess hall and living quarters. level 5 we have the captains quarters, battle stations, and the bridge.
  16. So I’m designing a Cruiser for the Freestar Collective (FC). A little lore for you guys, In response to the Freestar Victory in the Colony War at the Battle of Cheyanne where a mixed fleet of FC Militia and civilian ships defeated the far superior UC Navy, the United Colonies (UC) founded the Vanguard. The UC Vanguard is an official department of the UC Navy made up of independent ship captains from all walks of life that swear to support and defend the UC and their Citizens. Now we get into Centurion headcanon universe, While the UC learned they need vast amounts of smaller more maneuverable ships to support their slow and powerful Capital Ships, the FC decided that they needed to bolster their forces with a heavier, but still maneuverable ship-of-the-line. While slower than the fighters and frigates of the FC Militia, the Vesta-Class Cruiser is still faster and more agile than any comparable UC ship available. Manufactured by Stroud-Eklund the Vesta-Class Cruiser boasts top of the line particle beam canons for high damage against both shields and hulls, missiles for striking more maneuverable fighters, and top of the line shields for ultimate protection in battle. It features the highest grade C-Class reactor and Grav Drive, while providing ample cargo space for rations, weapons, and gear. The Vesta-Class Cruiser is equipped with two C-Class engines providing an adequate amount of thrust for both in-atmosphere and zero G flight, while two A-class engines increase the ships overall agility. The Freestar Collective chose to honor the colony of Vesta by naming its new Class of Warship after the souls that were vanquished by the aggressive United Colonies. The first of these new ships is nearing its completion in orbit above Davlik in the Narion System. The Council of Governors has unanimously voted to christen this ship the FC Solomon Coe, after the Founder of both Akila City, and the Freestar Collective.
  17. I’m streaming Starfield on the discord if y’all want to watch me make the final additions to a ship
  18. And remember I’m not fragile if y’all don’t like I put together let me know lmao
