  1. What a fraud she is, too. I bet companies are washing scripts through an AI woke generator these days.
  2. YouTube suggests they're responsible for TLoU2, but it doesn't appear on their games list. The question is, if you couldn't hack it at your Ubisoft job, why should anyone hire you as a consultant?
  3. The more baffling question is why they would land on dirigibles as a development, given the RL history of those. I'm sure the only reason the show has one is to appeal to Fallout 4 fanbase. You guys probably have heard of this Anita Sarkeesian Inc. company- I hadn't heard of them at all.
  4. I assumed they left a lot of infrastructure back in the Capital Wasteland, but it's all speculation I guess.
  5. Does what's-her-name ever say that she designed the Prydwen? I only recall she says that she keeps it repaired and flying.
  6. Are we spoiler tagging stuff from the trailer? They also show Walton's character running with a girl in his arms. I got Last of Us vibes. The Prydwen blueprints are probably around, so it wouldn't require Maxson's involvement.
  7. You need to get playing Cyberpunk 2077 already. Pretty good- I am cautiously optimistic.
  8. I would probably prefer a new PC, but haven't thought about it much.
  9. That would be stupid of them. Only Denis can do this. BTW, I found out he is from Becancour, which is where my Quebecois ancestors came from. *preen They are probably going to make Alia age quickly due to the Water of Life dip she takes in 2. That's my guess. You guys need to hurry up and watch the 2nd movie so i can discuss it.
  10. Apparently Denis Villeneuve has also been developing a screenplay for the Arthur C. Clarke space exploration story Rendezvous with Rama. The screen writer (who also wrote Dune Pt 1 and Killers of the Flower Moon) teased it. https://www.cbr.com/rendezvous-with-rama-dune-director-denis-villeneuve-development/ This may be what he's talking about when he says he's going to take a break and do something else before filming Dune 3.
  11. As we've discussed in the past, the "service" model is infecting all kinds of industries. Pretty soon you're going to have to sign up for a subscription to use your toothbrush. Why, it's execs with their Powerpoints making revenue projections. They always think they'll beat the curve.
  12. Addiction, though you could add other physical effects for game purposes. Your resistance would be affected by your race, with Fremen obviously more resistant. Even they experience hallucinations and ecstasy from the Water of Life.
  13. You could also have spice addiction as a mechanic, similar to cyberpsychosis in 2077 or "humanity" in VtMB setting.
  14. I remember when CD Projekt Red teased a new IP, I was hoping that it was Dune. Not that I'm unhappy we got Cyberpunk 2077, but that would have been so awesome- imagine ornithopter battles, roleplaying either an Atreides or Fremen character, etc. Any other studio would probably just fuck it up, though.
  15. Which one is that? We wouldn't be nerds if we didn't get passionate about completely irrelevant things. @TheCzarsHussar I apologize for my harsh tone. You are entitled to be in love with Kyle Machlachlan's perfectly feathered hair. I myself am not entirely sold on Chalamet and Zendaya, particularly together, but they had good moments in 2. Mostly when neither were talking.
  16. Fine, I tried to save you the effort of posting dozens of pics. By "goofy" I meant things like the voice boxes, but the film had a pretty much impossible job to do adapting that material in 2-3 hours.
  17. I just find it's rather audacious to have such a strong opinion when you haven't even seen the series.
  18. I care about is the world, so I'm motivated by what is a good adaptation vs. bad. Denis Villeneuve > Sci Fi Channel > Lynch Of course, he was limited by the era and runtime.
  19. Ah, that's why you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about. Besides the fact that I didn't mean costume design (which I don't care about), I also don't feel the need to bring up the 84 movie every time Dune is discussed. Move on, dude.
  20. I find it goofy. The Sci Fi Channel series were much better.
  21. I have no idea why the internet knows this, but Timothee Chalamet weighs 154 pounds and Kyle Machlachlan weighs 160 pounds. Kyle does have 2 inches on him in height. You just have a weird thing for 80s hair, apparently.
