  1. Hate to be that guy, but A Game of Thrones is the name of a book, the first book in the series. There is no book titled "A Song of Ice and Fire." Still funny. You guys probably know this stuff already, but this is a way to make Wyll actually useful. Sorcerer definitely the way to go in this game, for spellcasting. I haven't been playing much, still restarting mostly, I am currently doing a Lolth-sworn drow. It's hilarious to make goblins and tieflings cower just by staring at them. She's romancing Astarion. I'm a sucker for elves.
  2. The "this flopped because of misogyny" headlines write themselves.
  3. Happy T day all Got the pumpkin and apple pies and turkey breast done, ham is in the oven, stuffing and mac and cheese next
  4. The BF and I are going to see it on Saturday. I have low expectations of any film these days so I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Plus I don't know much about Napoleonic era history so I'll be blissfully ignorant.
  5. DA2 the same, though Dragon Age has become such a joke that I hardly even have nostalgia for it anymore. But I do remember developers blaming TLOU2 hate on miSogyNy over Abby. I hadn't even heard about that trailer nonsense.
  6. How in hell did they think fans weren't going to be livid over the bait and switch? That's literally a bait and switch.
  7. The runway is blue ice (compacted glacial ice)- it was prepared to have a certain friction rating. My company does a lot of repairs for the 787 which is Boeing’s newest wide body.
  8. Aviation nerd moment. The Scandis might have gone soft but this was pretty damn Viking of them.
  9. Honestly, I can see it now that I'm doing MBA classes. You spend weeks regurgitating nonsense about "corporate social responsibility." There should be a lot less of that and a lot more accounting and finance classes. Scary to think that the people who are running most companies had business school and maybe nothing else. Maybe it was better back in the day. I just like watching Nerdrotic to hear him say "analist." Especially since my job title is analyst.
  10. The only award Starfield was going to win this year was biggest disappointment.
  11. It was nominated for a couple things. Best narrative and Idris for best performance, best ongoing, I might be missing something.
  12. Between them and Halsin, just stand back and watch the smashing. You're wrong.
  13. Plus, charisma-based casters gain a huge advantage in the talky stuff. She persuaded the ogres to fight for her and they make short order of goblins.
  14. He's a bit scrawny and foppish. He may grow on me. This game is pretty amazing in its hidden secrets. I noticed a hole in a floor that was covered with web, so I thought- I wonder what would happen if I burn that away. Hit it with fire bolt and lo and behold, there was a cellar that led to all kinds of passages. My sorceress is pretty cool- after her first spell she can "fly," aka jump really high. So I send her up to the highest ledge where no melee fighter can get her and she just blasts away with advantage the rest of the rounds.
  15. Damn, that big druid is sexy. Too bad he wants to hump everything. My true love is the dreamy tiefling smith.
  16. Excuses, excuses... I am once again restarting BG3, this time as a storm sorceress. This feels like the most powerful spellcaster I've played yet.
  17. I finished my Phantom Liberty playthrough. I don't know if it was PL or they re-arranged some dialogues or what, but it hit harder than it had before. Great game, great expansion. I do plan to do another run of PL since the endings can be quite different.
  18. Who would want to play as the Enclave? It looks really well done, however. Playing a bit more in BG3... the roleplay options and hidden shit is pretty insane. You can tell they put a lot of thought into that. Some of the gameplay implementation is odd to me, though. The grumpy fighter lady in my party is by far the biggest damage dealer, she can get sneak attacks even... so other than to roleplay a criminal type character, why play a rogue? Wizard honestly seems a bit weak, too, at least at lower levels. The cleric has more spellcasting options. Sadly druid is pretty lackluster. You struggle with skill checks because of lower charisma and intelligence. The game is still viable with all classes, of course, since I'm not playing Hard. I just miss some of the versatility of Pathfinder. Of course, my first Kingmaker run, I chose Feyspeaker druid which is a super retarded class. Miss Miss Miss Hit 2 points Miss Miss... my PC was complete dead weight until late game when I just stayed in Wild Shape the whole time.
  19. Apparently AT isn't good in BG3. The "mage hand" cantrip doesn't work and you get so few other spells, it's not worth taking it seems. In Pathfinder it lets you remotely pick locks and disarm traps, with higher chance of failure. Sad that it doesn't work here. Larian could take some lessons from Owlcat. This is also the problem I had in DOS2. I could never find a class that did it for me, and the elf appearance isn't to my taste. I suppose I will soldier on with my druid.
  20. AT is pretty broken in Pathfinder Kingmaker. You get sneak attacks from spells anytime an enemy is flanked by a party member. I had so many ray attacks that it was like a magic sniper. Then at level 10 you get sneak attack on AoE spells. Fireball apocalypse. I also like being my own skill monkey.
  21. I mean I’m positively surrounded by powerful enemies and this streak can’t last. Not sure I am supposed to be here at this level. But I will probably restart as rogue anyway. I had an archery rogue going but elves are so puny and I wanted to roll a half elf. However they don’t get bow proficiency, boo. The rogue just has so many advantages though. Especially after I learned they have arcane trickster. I absolutely abused AT in Pathfinder.
  22. I’m in a big dungeon where he supposedly is being held. So far I have talked my way out of every fight but I’m probably in over my head at level 3.
  23. Oh I know. I've never save scummed so hard. Pathfinder is similar but the skill checks in this game are a lot more frequent and savage. You guys who have been playing BG3 should try Pathfinder. It's not as cinematic but quite rich, too. Maybe. So far I like Wyll. I haven't met the horny druid yet.
