  1. Yeah the blood doll- not yuri, jeebus. I was so conflicted about that quest. Great game. Indeed, and it has smut too! Well, a smutlet. I had to write something after seeing Durance got no love. I can't believe you did that. @ColonelKillaBee They always say "AR-15 style" because a ) they know nothing about guns and b ) they've got a hard on to ban the AR-15 since it's the most popular selling rifle and scary looking to plebs who think it's a machine gun or some shit.
  2. Not into werewolves but then I wasn't into vampires, either, til that game. Such a fucking great game. It's maybe the most memorable game I've played. Like, I can dream I'm in the scenes, which is surprising given it's older graphics.
  3. I'll try that game eventually. I was put off the first one because I heard the story wasn't great. Talking to Colonel about wishing Netflix would do a World of Darkness/ VtMB series, I came across a series that actually was based on that lore. It only ran one season which is puzzling since it's in the Buffy era. It's dated, but not as terrible as I expected it to be- it was kind of cool to see the vampire clans, although my own (Tremere) wasn't in the show, boo!
  4. I'll be seeing Black Panther next weekend. The man is studying for his state certification exams next week so I'm a bachelorette til after he's done. Normally I wouldn't care about superhero movies but he's excited for this one. I'm hoping the crowd will be rowdy which makes it fun. I mentioned this book series before but gotta say again, if you're looking for something to read, definitely check it out. It's up our alley and really well written. I had read that it was "philosophical," which made me think it might be dry, but not at all. It's just well written and deep. Setting is a fantasy world which I'm guessing is a take on Mesopotamia/ Anatolia and the Scythians, and the main plot is a religious war between several empires with various powerful wizard factions taking sides and generally making things complicated. Sorcery is extremely powerful in this world but offset by the fact that sorcerers are revealed to each other (you can't hide your magic from other mages) and sorcerers can be killed instantly by skin contact with artifacts that are rare but possessed by wealthy rulers. Anyway I haven't finished it yet, but haven't been this engrossed in a book in a long time.
  5. That's one I planned to wait on. Actually I haven't been in a vidya mood in general. Probably won't play anything till Pillars of Eternity Deadfire comes out in April.
  6. That Witcher short was awesome, especially when he used Aard on the one zombie.
  7. That was indeed pretty cool, good music and even a little bit of story. I imagine it was a confrontation between maybe a pagan and Christian since the winner didn't cross himself. I'm with Sandor.
  8. From watching TV with you, I can certify you think everything is about sex, teh ghey or otherwise.
  9. Sorry, PJ just ruined The Hobbit. It was supposed to be a children's story really, much shorter than LOTR, and he had to go and add a bunch of silly crap. But I guess if you watch them entirely as sword and sorcery fantasy-horror unconnected to Middle Earth, they're entertaining enough.
  10. Considering Tolkien actually wrote the books and the movies are essentially Peter Jackson's fanfiction of them... well, yeah. I'm comfortable with that. And since he said his books were essentially Catholic, I stand by what I said. Now don't let me interrupt your man period.
  11. Elves are the elder race, they call humans the Children (of Iluvitar). I can 100% say there are no homoerotic undertones intended in Tolkien's work, whatever those non-canonical and heavily silly movies say about it. It's kind of sad that you can't depict a close male friendship without all the "shipping" nonsense.
  12. Except I was living in California when we started.
  13. Great post Doc, Endar's arc has been outstanding.
  14. A "camarilla" is a power faction around a ruler, like a cabal. Has nothing to do with lesbians, sorry. lol Right. Maggie's book was called Camille.
  15. The Camarilla is the vampire organization in VtMB, you're thinking of Camille. And no, never read that. Not my taste, either.
  16. Why, because of Maggie? Actually I was never a fan of vampire stuff but the Camarilla did inspire me to write a high society vampire who had to blend.
  17. On my day off been reading the first book of a dark fantasy series called The Prince of Nothing by R. Scott Bakker. Really good so far and I'm picky about such things. Nines Rodriguez, mmm
  18. I don't recall exactly but I think Maggie was born shortly after the Oblivion Crisis. I figure Darius was hiding out and got bored and horny.
  19. I'm off for the weekend, guys. I'll be checking in but no posting etc.
