There are people on the Fallout subreddit theorizing that the Elder in the TV series is secretly Caesar in disguise, pretending to be BoS so he can use their resources to take over the wasteland. Also that the Prydwen we see is not actually sent by Maxson, but is instead a second, identical, airship that "the Elder" built in secret to fool his followers into thinking he had support from the Commonwealth.
That's stupid enough I could see Bethesda going with it

You know another thing I like? Rather then some dumb wussy thing; the highest intelligence weapon in the games, and the peak magic build, is a giant, fucking blade

Bioshock's I think - shockingly - is going to be pretty easy to adapt as long as you have strong writers. They just have to follow the blue print of the backstory that's already been laid out for them.

We’ve been talking aboht this for two years. With superheroes going out, video game movies/shows are gonna be the next big "thing".
That happened in the early 2000s too but nobody took them seriously and the creators seemed embarrassed to be adapting video games. Times have changed and now there’s a lot more effort being put into them.
Mario made like a billion dollars.
And Sonic's also made a billion bucks now But I think it's a little bit different with the animated front. We had them, Castlevania, and Arcane already; which were all very successful. But with Fallout (outwardly ) and Last of Us showing the gritty (and super expensive) live action offering can be just as profitable, I think it's going to explode.
-
I would imagine with this and Last of Us being so successful and causing a massive spike in sales for their catalogue, everyone's going to be rushing to get big budget, live-action adaptions now.

For me it’s more the hope that Microsoft or Bethesda one day outsources another game to someone else like with New Vegas and Fallout Shelter.
Hopefully more like New Vegas than Fallout Shelter.
Or that pigs fly and Bethesda hires a competent writer or two and at least one person who knows what "RPG" means.
Not going to happen till Todd goes and takes his yes men

That sounds like an halfway interesting story. I wish they’d told it.
Although I don’t see how things could’ve gotten so bad in so little time. It feels like the place got nuked a century ago and that the NCR is all but forgotten (except by those weird NCR cultists in the vault… which only enhances the point), not a recent event that we’re watching survivors pick up the pieces from.
Yeah it's been like fifteen years

Then maybe Moldaver's group is rogue element. Maybe the rest of the NCR (which is undergoing rapid upheaval) think's that part of their territory (which has now become a wasteland...somehow) isn't worth saving, while Moldaver and her men are trying to figure a way to bring it back. (It is the heart of the NCR after all).
I still think I'd take the word of Patches over a person like Maximus

Clearly Colonel hasn't visited No Mutants Allowed

So basically "The NCR is very big, but we’re not talking about them except in this one location".
Fair enough. But if they’re still alive and well outside of L.A., then why does Maximus say they’re gone, why are Moldaver’s remnants getting no support, and why weren’t the citizens who survived relocated to other states?
Maximus is a dumb ass, and maybe the other groups are super insular and kind of have blocked all contact with the other parts because of a war?
-
Todd just confirmed there's other NCR remnant factions and we haven't seen the "last" of them.

He's become Pete Hines

*Expansion is fully ready and the collector's edition is being sent out to media.*
*Still pretty much two months till it releases to us*

Angry Joe liked it too: gave it a 7/10 (which is high for him).
I think alot of his acclaim is coming from Nerds and "Fallout" Fans who've just played the newer titles (which I think is understandable), and kind of have that mentality where they think Bethesda's heavily flanderised vision of the series is the true one.

Lmao while catching up, I was thinking about commenting how much better and more respectful DUST was compared to the show.
At least DUST is a worst case scenario happening to the Mojave, based on the potential catastrophes from the DLC.
Fuck, in DUST despite THE LITERAL worst thing that could happen, happening, the NCR outside the Mojave is doing fine (and the policy shift with the Followers of the Apocalypse getting more power, is a positive development)

Sounds fair then.
Back in our day a 7/10 was pretty good And 5/6 was average.

"Those old 52 scoring reviews are simply no longer relevant"
Yeah, this is why I don’t trust game journals. If anything, 52 is a very charitable score for Fallout 76. A bigger player count doesn’t make the game any better.
I don't actually agree, in our current review culture, a 52 is about as bad as possible for an AAA game and is a pretty horrible score

If I remember wasn't he blacklisted for a long time? Just like the regean-era esque stuff that was happening in Fallout
