FOUR DAYS.
This is the third or fourth time they've had a release date
I'll be pleasantly surprised if they stick with it this time.

The reveal of Jessica being Harkonnen’s secret daughter was in the original novel. Paul discovers it while tripping out on spice and Alia later calls Vladimir "grandfather" while she knifes him.
No shit really?! I could have sworn this was later revisions like the "put your hand in the box" Reverend Mother being Paul's granny.

secret heir to the Harkonnen Barony…
That's the kind of stuff that was added after Frank Herbert's death, that his son wrote. So take it wish a grain of sand.

I love stuff like this, built stop the subtle foundations already in the game.

A radiant worm approaches, kicking up a sandstorm so massive that you figure the beast’s length to measure half a mile at least. When the face of Shai-Hulud emerges, it reveals a mouth that could swallow buildings and teeth the size of ornithopter wings. The colossus barrels headfirst into your caravan with a thunderous quake.
*Jamis is unconscious*
*Chani is unconscious*
*Stilgar is unconscious*
Invulnerable child Alia runs up to the player.
"Wormsign detected."

A big Dune RPG feels like it would be a very difficult game to get right. CDPR is one of the few devs I’d trust to take a crack at it.
Imagine Bethesda's take on it

I just find it's rather audacious to have such a strong opinion when you haven't even seen the series.
My only strong opinions with the miniseries is it's, in my opinion, stupid design. I never commented on the quality of it's writing or acting.

Ah, that's why you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about.
And despite the jabs I've made against 2021 and the miniseries, I've been nothing but respectful towards you. Come on man, please return the favor.

Besides the fact that I didn't mean costume design (which I don't care about), I also don't feel the need to bring up the 84 movie every time Dune is discussed. Move on, dude.
The 84 movie is also kinda one of my favorite movies, of course I'm passionate about it.
We've just got different tastes.

The Spacing Guild reps look cool as hell in the 2021 movie, though, despite only getting a few seconds of screen time.
Shit you're not wrong, I forgot they even featured in the 2021 movie. They look snazzy as hell in their space Catholic robes

I’m down for the emperor wearing some colorful clothes. That’s just what emperors do.
I'm used to the regal, uniformed 84 Shaddam I suppose
1 minute ago, The Good Doctor said:Don’t really have a problem with Paul’s actor either at a glance. Would have to see the performance to really give an opinion, though.
I've no idea how well he preforms, never seen the miniseries. The retarded costume design and cheapness always threw me off.
1 minute ago, The Good Doctor said:The Bene Gesserit and Sardaukar do indeed look hilarious, however.
There weeee go!

Goofiest costume design could mean anything coming from you.
Emperor Shaddam IV, Padishah of the Known Universe and Fashion Diva.
The Bene Hippy Healing Crystal Women.
Wait, is this Terminator 3?
Sardaukar BDSM Division. Granted, still better than the Trashmen.
I don't even know, Shaddam IV playing dressup with Justin Trudeau or something.

Just now, Celan said:
I've seen both, so you can save yourself the googling.
For posterity's sake then. Because my god is it some of the goofiest costume design I've ever seen.

But fiiiine, spoilers it shall be.

Put them in spoiler tags please.
Lynch apparently went through a revision of the costume design

I have no idea why the internet knows this, but Timothee Chalamet weighs 154 pounds and Kyle Machlachlan weighs 160 pounds. Kyle does have 2 inches on him in height.
You just have a weird thing for 80s hair, apparently.
It's the shoulders and facial structure more so than weight. Timothee just looks like a string bean, while Kyle Machlachlan didn't.

Yee, I'm not annoyed at them delaying it, hell I hope they improved upon what was criticized. I'm annoyed that they hyped everyone up three times now only to pull the rug.
