There are people on the Fallout subreddit theorizing that the Elder in the TV series is secretly Caesar in disguise, pretending to be BoS so he can use their resources to take over the wasteland. Also that the Prydwen we see is not actually sent by Maxson, but is instead a second, identical, airship that "the Elder" built in secret to fool his followers into thinking he had support from the Commonwealth. I also think what happened ended up being a way lamer version of Fallout DUST's vision of a "New Vegas bad end"Â
Lmao while catching up, I was thinking about commenting how much better and more respectful DUST was compared to the show.
At least DUST is a worst case scenario happening to the Mojave, based on the potential catastrophes from the DLC.

Having read all the spoiler tags, I'm fucking pissed.
It feels like Todd was half ass reminded of some of the in-game predictions that the NCR was teetering towards an eventual collapse under their own weight.
I mean, a show with good writing could be really damn good showing this. NCR is overextended, politically in a terrible state, and there's a looming massive water shortage all by the time of New Vegas. Push forward maybe a decade and show them reeling from all of these issues.
Their cities and population have grown too large to support themselves, the water crisis beyond the breaking point with maybe some droughts thrown in and that alone can be a massive destabilizing point.
Instead we just get "Muh NCR nuked and gone, muh back to Fallout 3 progress."
I wonder how they'll depict Arroyo

I'm with Doc here. It's the added context and disturbing areas you fight the Headless in that make them nightmarish. If there was ten of them running around the castle fighting it wouldn't at all be as scary.

Poor, poor @The Good Doctor. I bet the final boss will be Laura crying at the feet of an indigenous tribal leader for forgiveness.

I have a lot of mixed feelings about the Malenia fight, now that I’ve done it on two playthroughs and couldn’t do it with the builds I used for the majority of the game. I feel cheap for having to use my summons even though as Czar said, end game everything’s resistant to holy damage, making certain weapons pretty much essential like the blasphemous blade.
Though even that alone ain’t enough for her, tou imo need to use the katana blood swords or another bleed source, frost, or both. But while those give you the best results, it’s not gonna really carry you. Unless you’re pretty overleveled.Â
ÂShe’s not just tough, she breaks the established rules of the game with how she functions. I’ll post some videos to what I mean and see what y’all think. And then I’ll ask my question.
My soul problem with Malenia when I'm not getting salty as hell with her is the ridiculous tracking if Waterfowl. It literally requires either a sequence of perfect inputs to dodge it point blank or constantly fight her with range from mid point. It's fully possible to dodge her waterfowl when practically touching her when she starts it up. But the required skill gain is unreasonable for the majority of peopleÂ

Can I give my new character items from another one via trade like in souls?
Yep it follows ds3 rules, no boss souls, no upgrade material, no key items

Decided to go with the gargoyle wax blade thing that can have its art of war changed and went with fire so both are augmented with fire grant me strength.Â
The regular gargoyle weapons look so good with catch flame/fire grease. Makes it look like some kind of alchemical coating that's easily flammable without burning away

Getting ready for the dlc for elden ring on my new game plus mode and just killed malenia the bullshitter of miquella again lol, fucking bitch.
Anyway, whats the best sword to power stance with Blasphemous Blade, I think @TheCzarsHussar said the black gargoyle blade worked well with it which makes sense, but also saw people say you could pair it with Ordovis. Thoughts?
Malenia like all late game enemies laughs in the face of Holy Damage. So while black blade kindred weapons usually have insane damage numbers, it's only really useful for pvp
Also hear me out, make a new character with the dlc in mind. I bet you'll have more fun that way instead of continuously NG+ing
That's what I did, made "Scion of Messmer" entirely with the dlc in mind and made him strength with 25 faith as a buffing auxiliary.

@BigBossBalrog How'd you fair against the corrupted monk first time around? Took me an hour and thirty minutes last night on my underleved.
Ended up fighting her on a second character tonight that was str/faith and only took three tries
Hardest part is definitely those Elden Ring ass delayed lingering hitbox melee attacks

It's the Winter Lantern reskins  There the ones singing the Shrine of Amana song.Â
Oof yeah they're rough. The annoying tentacle spam is what gets me, they don't do the stupid Neito move that often.
I found best way to dispatch them is with a greatsword, weapon art stance always staggers them.
-
Ooooh wait, are you talking about the Winter Lantern reskin?
